Backyard Birding Fun

Hello friends!  Sorry I have been away for a few days but I have been so busy!  I really enjoyed the holiday weekend.  I was able to finish alot of projects (which I will post very soon) and enjoy some time bird watching in my back yard.  Here are a few pictures that my daughter took for me while we watched the birds having fun at one of my feeders.

Blackberry Pickin'

Hello friends!  Can you believe that blackberries are ripe already!?  It seems so early. But -- I was outside trimming back some bushes this afternoon and there they were.  Just hanging on the vine  all plump and juicy and ready to be picked!  I absolutely LOVE blackberries.   I love blackberry cobbler, blackberry pie, blackberry jelly... well.. I could go on and on.   Tonight, I think I am just going to enjoy this little dish full of ripe blackberries (with a little sugar sprinkled on top.)

"What a Ham" scrapbook page

My husband enjoys acting "goofy" around the girls -- always trying to get a laugh.  I snapped this picture of him during one of his "crazy" moments. Later, I found these little adorable "piggy" paper piecing patterns online.  (wish I could remember where I found them!)  They turned out so cute and were very easy to make.  I put them together with his photo and made a page which I entitled,  "What A Ham". Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Fruity Towels

Hello blogging friends!  Back at Christmas, I found these cute hand towels in yellow, red, orange and green colors.  I thought they  were so cheerful looking.  I bought all they had and added some felt fruit appliques.  I made some with pears, apples, strawberries and oranges then gave them as Christmas gifts.   I did not want to post them because they were surprises!  Unfortunately,   I forgot to get pictures of all of them.  Anyhow, just thought I would share them with you today.

A Sweet Cracker Barrel Find

I was at Cracker Barrel on Friday and I saw this sweet little leaf bowl marked  40 percent off.  I loved the blue color, and --  of course-- the two little birds.  So, now it sits on my dining room table.  Isn't it just cute?  Happy Mother's Day to me!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Beautiful Lilac Table Setting

Hello blogging friends!  You all know how much I love a beautifully decorated table.  When my mother was alive; I always had so much fun decorating a Mother's Day Table.  Since her passing, I have not been able to bring myself to do it anymore.  And it  is a shame -- because I always invited over my sisters, mother-in-law, grandmother and a very dear cousin.  I really need to start the tradition back up.  It's just a hard day without my mom.  When I saw this table setting done by Ann from Corner of Plaid and Paisley -- I just fell in love.  It is so beautiful!  Lilac was one of my mom's favorite colors.  I know she would have loved this too. "Dancing in the Rain" Scrapbook Card

Hello friends!  It has been a few days since I have blogged.  I was sick over the weekend.  Ugh.. had some kind of virus/sinus thing going on.  Anyhow -- I am much better now.  I have been working on several exciting crafts lately.  I will be posting pictures as soon as I am finished.  In the meantime, I bought this adorable little stamp set at Hobby Lobby on clearance.  I loved the "saying" and it came with lots of stamps.  I have been anxious to make a card or page using it -- so -- last night I made this little card.  Hope you like it!
